Boxer Batyrgaziev wins IBF featherweight title by defeating Manzanilla

Russian boxer Albert Batyrgaziev won the international featherweight title according to the International Boxing Federation (IBF). The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.
The fight took place in the Moscow complex “Wings of the Soviets” as part of the tournament “League of Bets. Boxing evenings ”. The athlete knocked out an opponent from Venezuela Franklin Manzanilla in the fourth round by technical knockout. For Batyrgaziev, this is the fifth knockout victory at the professional level in five fights.
On September 17, Batyrgaziev was named “Man of the Year” by GQ magazine in 2021. Together with him, the Olympic champions Nikita Nagorny, Maxim Khramtsov, Vladislav Larin and Evgeny Rylov received this award.
In August, Batyrgaziev became the Olympic champion of the Tokyo Games in the weight category up to 57 kilograms. In the decisive match, he beat the American Duke Regan by a split decision with a score of 3: 2.
