De Cros also said that the decision was made unanimously, although Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán left the room during the vote. According to him, such a demarche is not a veto.
“This decision is binding for 27 countries. These are the rules of the game, everyone knows them,” he said, adding that Orban “knew very well about the decision,” therefore, since none of them blocked it members, it is considered legal .
Recall that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban intends to veto the decision to begin negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU by abstaining from voting. After this, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo advised him to “keep his mouth shut.”
