On Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky), TSG will most likely have to do without the 22-year-old. Especially bitter for the Austrian as well as for the team, which will have to do without a regular player and top performer against FC Bayern.
Baumgartner was almost always in the starting line-up for Hoffenheim, only after an international break he had to take a seat on the bench and was hit once. He has scored three times in the Bundesliga this season.
Most recently, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann tested positive despite complete vaccination protection.
