Wolfsburg storms to the top of the league with the third win of the season, but has to fear for Xaver Schlager. The ÖFB legionnaire injured himself before the World Cup qualification.
1: 0! VfL Wolfsburg prevailed against RB Leipzig in the third round of the German Bundesliga on Sunday. Coach Mark van Bommel celebrates the third league success en suite and laughs from the top of the table. Leipzig suffered its second defeat under the former Salzburg Jesse Marsch and is only tenth with three points.

Downside for the coach: Xaver Schlager injured the midfield engine. Team boss Franco Foda will not be happy to hear that ahead of the upcoming international triple against Moldova, Israel and Scotland. Foda already has to do without the injured Stefan Lainer and Sasa Kalajdzic.
The next failure threatens with Schlager. He twisted his knee in minute 67. Then the 23-year-old limps with a bandaged knee, supported by two supervisors.
Schlager compatriot Marcel Sabitzer is not in the squad at Leipzig. The Styrian will switch to FC Bayern.
