NVIDIA has confirmed that it will no longer support GeForce graphics cards based on the Kepler microarchitecture, as well as Windows 7/8 / 8.1 from August 31, 2021.
NVIDIA introduced the Kepler architecture in September 2010. On its basis, video cards of the GeForce 600 and GeForce 700 series were released.
The latest R470 driver supporting these GPUs and operating systems will be released on August 31st. The good news is that Kepler graphics cards will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security updates.
It is worth noting that some of the Kepler-based video cards can still provide good frame rates in older games. However, these GPUs are already considered obsolete.
