Nutritionists from the United States have named the most harmful foods for those seeking to lose weight. Reported by Eat This, Not That!

Experts believe that first of all, those who want to lose weight should abandon white bread, deep-fried foods, sugar substitutes and low-fiber foods.

Nutritionist Jinan Banna recalls that white bread is one of the main enemies for those who want to gain a slender figure. “White bread will not satisfy you for long because it has no fiber. You will most likely start consuming more calories than necessary if you leave it in your diet. In order not to gain excess weight, it is better to eat whole grain bread, ”Banna said.

She also warned against eating foods that are fried in a lot of oil or deep-fried. “Fried foods are usually very high in calories, and you get fat when you consume more calories than you burn,” said the nutritionist.
Banna referred to a study by British colleagues who found that fried foods are especially harmful for people with a genetic predisposition to obesity.

Nutritionist Janet Coleman said that sugar substitutes can be a hindrance to a perfect figure, although they technically do not contain calories. “It's important to understand that even if there are no calories in substitutes, they still raise blood glucose levels, which can interfere with weight loss,” says Coleman.

Her colleague Kara Landau said that when losing weight, you should avoid foods that are low in fiber, such as white bread, rice cakes, or potato chips, for example. “Fiber slowly travels through the gastrointestinal tract, and people who consume it in sufficient quantities stay full longer and are not prone to overeating,” Landau said.

Earlier, nutritionist and fitness trainer Kathleen Trotter named ways to get rid of the extra pounds gained during the New Year holidays. First of all, she advises to reduce the amount of processed foods in the diet.
