Nutritionists gave advice on eating pancakes for Maslenitsa. A specialist in the treatment of excess weight Maira Rau, in an interview with RIA Novosti, advised to reduce their portions, and before eating pancakes, have a snack with vegetables or salad.
“I recommend eating fruit, vegetables or vegetable soup before eating pancakes, then your stomach will signal to you in time that pancakes are enough,” the expert said.
Nutritionist Margarita Koroleva recommended making pancakes a snack and not replacing the main meal with them. Experts also talked about the most optimal fillings. According to them, unsweetened pancakes with fish or berries will be the most useful.
Maira Rau noted that vegetables, meat and fruits without sugar can be added inside. If the number of pancakes is small, then you can choose any filling. In 2022 Maslenitsa will last from February 28 to March 6.
