Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov named a condition for retirement. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“As long as my health allows, while I'm only getting stronger, there is no definite answer about the end of my career,” said 31-year-old Nurmagomedov. At the same time, the Russian stressed that it is impossible to constantly reach the peak of the form. “As soon as I understand that I’m starting to pass, I’ll quit the sport,” added Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov is known for his performances in the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC). He has 28 wins in 28 fights. At UFC 254 in October, he will again defend the organization's lightweight belt. American Justin Gaji will become Nurmagomedov's rival.
Surrounded by Nurmagomedov, they have repeatedly stated that the fighter plans to leave the sport, having achieved a series of 30 victories. In particular, his father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov shared this opinion. The specialist died on July 4 from complications arising from a coronavirus infection.
