Khabib Nurmagomedov, who finished his career as a Russian mixed style fighter (MMA), was excluded from all ratings of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC). The lists are available on the organization's website.
Prior to that, Nurmagomedov was ranked first in the lightweight division. Now the first three places are occupied by Americans Dustin Poirier and Justin Gage, as well as Brazilian Charles Oliveira. The champion belt in this weight category was declared vacant. In addition, American John Jones returned to the first place in the rating regardless of weight categories.
On March 19, UFC President Dana White announced the official retirement of Nurmagomedov. Now Oliveira and Michael Chandler will compete for the vacant UFC lightweight title.
Nurmagomedov won 29 victories in 29 fights, of which 13 were in the UFC.
