Nurmagomedov, 32, said that the “enemies of Islam” only use the thesis about the struggle for freedom of speech to insult Muslims by publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. “Do they really believe that in this way they will be able to extinguish the light of Allah, the spread of which He promised to bring to the end in his beautiful book,” the athlete writes.
Thus, Nurmagomedov again criticized the supporters of French President Emmanuel Macron and the politician himself. On October 30, the Russian athlete posted a photo of the French leader with a footprint on his face and accompanied this with a harsh statement in defense of Muslims.
Several armed attacks had taken place in France a day earlier. The attacks followed Macron's speech, in which he denounced the crisis in Islam and criticized the quality of the integration of visiting Muslims into French society.
