Regional shopping: The author's online retailer list now includes 6,800 entries

One of the best-known directories of online ordering options has become that of activist and author Nunu Kaller at nunukaller.com. Companies across all branches and regions of Austria are represented here. There are the adventure gift provider jollydays as well as the game manufacturer Piatnik , the provider of sustainable monthly hygiene products Erdbeerwoche , the trading and production company GEA Waldviertler and the local iced tea producer Makava .
Kaller launched the list of dealers in the initial phase of the first lockdown. The list became known within a short time and the entries increased. More than 6,800 dealers are currently listed here. The entries are free.
“It takes a strategy”
It was accordingly quiet over the summer, says Kaller to the KURIER – of course, because the shops were open and people wanted to go back to the shops. “It's good if we take the step and learn that we don't order from the internet giant. But the next step is the question – what does our cityscape look like if we only order online? ”A strategy is needed here, says Kaller. As soon as it works again, it is important that people go back to owner-operated stores. She is currently pleading for Christmas gifts to be obtained from regional dealers – online if necessary. Because with it you give “double the joy” – the recipient and the dealer.
Kaller does not want to expand her list into its own sales platform. “I'm not an eCommerce entrepreneur.” However, she works with the online marketplace “doitfair”. “Anyone who is listed with me and wants to sell there saves money with me.” Anita Kiefer
