Senior Franak Vyachorka, adviser to Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, stressed that at present, the forms of protests against the Lukashenka regime must be chosen carefully.
He added that there is a lot of competition with the Russian propaganda army, so it is important for them to find a formula for constant pressure on the dictatorial regime of Lukashenka.
The senior adviser to the leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Franak Vyachorka, said this in an interview with Novosti.LIVE.
“They do not always mobilize, but rather demobilize society. For example, the same rail partisans can be demonstratively shot ( three Belarusians who damaged the railway track in order to stop the supply of Russian weapons and equipment to Belarus, and then to Ukraine, face death execution – ed. ) Therefore, it is important to find a formula for constant pressure on the regime, to use international instruments of justice, information campaigns. It is important for us to change the understanding that I, a Belarusian, am not just against war, I am against Belarusian aggression. This a lot of work in competition with the Russian propaganda army.
He said that the Belarusian oppositionist Svyatlana Tikhanovskaya has constant contact with the President's Office and other departments.
“Many Belarusians now have problems and blocked accounts because of their passport. There are many of them who help Ukraine. We understand Ukraine in this regard, but we will try to save those who actively help you so that they can continue to do so.Tikhanovskaya didn’t have a meeting with Zelensky himself. As I understand it, the problem is on the Ukrainian side — they don’t want to provoke Lukashenka. and Belarusian peoples. restrains,” Vyachorka said.
The oppositionist noted that Tikhanovskaya is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but so far Ukraine is refusing.
“There is daily communication through diplomats, government representatives. When a side is ready for a meeting, it gets organized, a format is sought. As soon as there is such readiness on the part of the Ukrainian side, the meeting will take place. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was ready to go to Kyiv earlier, even a year ago, and after the war. But there was a request from the Ukrainian side not to do this,” he said.
Recall that the Belarusian oppositionist Franak Vyachorka assessed whether there would be protests if Belarus entered the war.
