Slovakia offers the Ukrainian side “a fairly wide range of humanitarian, civil and technical non-lethal assistance.”

Slovakia stops providing military assistance to Ukraine from its own reserves. However, as part of the support, the country will continue to supply goods of other groups and categories.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia.

The head of the Slovak defense department, Robert Kaliniak, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels on November 13, spoke about Bratislava’s innovations on assistance for Ukraine, reflecting the large-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation.

“The head of the Ministry of Defense R. Kaliniak informed the NATO Secretary General about the cessation of military assistance to Ukraine regarding Slovak reserves,” the publication says.

At the same time, the ministry states that, despite this, Slovakia offers the Ukrainian side “a fairly wide range of humanitarian, civil and technical non-lethal assistance.”

“Foreign partners fully respect the decision of the new government,” the Slovak Ministry of Defense added.

The report from the Slovak department notes that the issue of upcoming assistance for Ukraine from Bucharest was one of the main topics of negotiations between Kaliniak and Stoltenberg in Brussels, which took place on the eve of the meeting of the defense ministers of the European Union member states.

Let us remind you that the Slovak government blocked the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine for 40.3 million euros , which was prepared by the preliminary leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
