Not Poland: which European country has the most Ukrainians?

The Institute of Demography answered where the greatest concentration of Ukrainians abroad is.

Director of the Institute demography and social research Ella Libanova said that the largest concentration of Ukrainian migrants is in Germany, and not in Poland.

She said this while speaking at the Regional Economic Forum in Kiev, writes Forbes.

So, according to her, in Poland, from August 1, 2023, the outflow of Ukrainians exceeds the influx.

“But don’t think that all these Ukrainians are returning to Ukraine. They are going to richer countries. Mainly to Germany, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. This is a bad trend, since people are moving away from borders. Experience shows that in this case the chances of their return are significantly reduced,” Libanova said.

Remember, experts predict thatthe birth rate in Ukraine may fall to the lowest level in the world.
