Which countries cancel free travel for Ukrainian refugees
Previously, for free travel, Ukrainians only needed to present a passport, a border crossing document (depending on the country). From June 1, according to the information of the European Union for the Support of Ukraine, free travel in the transport of Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic is cancelled.
Poland has already abolished free travel in public transport in Warsaw. We are waiting for additional clarification from the government of Poland on travel by regional trains and international trains.
At the same time, Ukrainians will have preferential travel in the form of preferential travel cards . In Germany, a travel document for all types of urban transport and regional trains will cost 9 euros, in the Czech Republic, a travel document for all types of public transport will cost about 7 euros.
From June 1, 2022, they may also change in those countries that have not announced such plans. For up-to-date information, please visit the EU refugee website.
