Elon Musk proposed making Taiwan a Special Administrative Region of China.
He stated this in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to Musk, the dispute is inevitable and “will have consequences for so many countries and businesses.”
“My recommendation is… designate a special administrative zone for Taiwan, which is acceptable enough but probably won't make everyone happy. And maybe I think they could have a more lenient agreement, than Hong Kong,” Musk said. .
As a reminder, the Taiwanese government has reported repeated Chinese drone flights near small islands it controls. A video has surfaced on social media showing Taiwanese soldiers throwing stones at a Chinese drone in an attempt to drive it away.
