Norwegian skier confessed to conspiracy with a Finn against a Russian rival

Norwegian skier Emil Iversen confessed to a conspiracy with Finn Iivo Niskanen against Russian rival Ivan Yakimushkin during the second stage of the relay at the World Championships in Oberstdorf, Germany. His words are quoted by VG.

Iversen said that during the race he spoke with Niskanen. Together they figured out how to catch up with the leading Yakimushkin. “We are good friends, he helped me a lot. Thanks to the Finnish coaching staff for putting him on my stage, ”the athlete added.
