Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo appreciated the readiness of the Russian Alexander Bolshunov for the Olympic Games in Beijing. His words are quoted by Nettavisen.
The athlete called ridiculous the rumors that Bolshunov had an unsuccessful pre-season training, and drew attention to the fact that he ranks high in the overall World Cup, which means that he is in good shape. “He is already here and controls everything related to cross-country skiing,” Klebo emphasized.
On December 30, Klebo appreciated Bolshunov's performance in the classic 15 km time trial as part of the first stage of the Tour de Ski race in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. He said that no one has ever written off the Russian.
Bolshunov is the current owner of the World Cup. He did not fully prepare for the season, as he broke his jaw in the summer.
