Vladimir Zelensky has already thanked the authorities for their support.
Parliament Norway voted to allocate NOK 7 billion ($600 million) for military aid to Ukraine. The majority of these funds, namely 6 billion crowns, will be used to supply our state with air defense equipment.
This was stated by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, VG reports.
According to him, the total amount of Norwegian assistance to Kyiv in 2024 will reach 22 billion kroner in direct support.
President Vladimir Zelensky thanked the Norwegian allies for increasing financial assistance to Ukraine in 2024.
“It is very important that the majority of these funds will be used to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, which is our highest priority to protect lives. We appreciate Norway's continued support, understanding of our urgent needs and willingness to stand by our side at a decisive time,” Zelensky wrote.
Recall that in May 2023, Norway announced that it had a five-year military assistance program for Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Norway plans to transfer 22 F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
In addition, we previously informed that Norway will allocate more than $150 million to help Ukraine.
