North Korea transferred more than a million artillery shells to Russia for the war in Ukraine – South Korean intelligence

According to Seoul intelligence, North Korea apparently received technological assistance from Russia in exchange for ammunition.

North Korea has sent more than 10 shipments of ammunition to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine, including more than 1 million artillery shells.

This was stated by the South Korean intelligence agency (NIS) at a closed meeting of the parliamentary intelligence committee, The Guardian reports.

Member of the parliamentary committee Yu Sang Bum added with reference that Russia spends approximately the same amount of ammunition on the war with Ukraine in two months.

According to Seoul intelligence, North Korea apparently received technological assistance from Russia in exchange for ammunition. The issue is in the area of space technology, as Pyongyang's previous two attempts to launch a spy satellite at the beginning of the year failed. The DPRK is now planning to carry out a satellite launch mission for the third time.

Bloomberg, citing a South Korean lawmaker, reports that North Korea also sent advisers on the use of ammunition to Russia.
