North Korea is supplying its weapons to Russia via cargo ships.
The United States has received information that < strong>North Korea handed over another weapons shipment to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
US Ambassador to NATO Julian Smith during an online briefing stated that the shipment of weapons consists of more than a thousand containers of ammunition, reports Ukrinform.
“We have new information that the DPRK recently supplied additional weapons to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine. According to our information, the DPRK transferred more than a thousand containers of military equipment and ammunition to the Russian Federation,” the representative noted USA.
Satellite images obtained in the United States showed that North Korea is shipping its weapons to Russia on cargo ships.
“We strongly condemn the DPRK for transferring to the Russians such weapons, which will undoubtedly be used to attack the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian cities, and in the subsequent illegal war of the Russian Federation,” Smith said.
Washington is confident that in exchange for weapons, Pyongyang is receiving new military technologies from Moscow. Pyongyang's potential “wants” could include fighter jets, surface-to-air missiles, armored vehicles, ballistic missile production equipment and other weapons.
She added that the United States will continue to monitor the development of the situation.
