North Korea is shooting near the South Korean coastline for the second day in a row.
North Korea on Saturday, January 6, again fired several dozen artillery shells into the waters near the South Korean group of islands of Yeonpyongdo.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced this.
North Korea fired about 60 artillery shells off its southwestern coast in an hour starting at 4 p.m. local time, Seoul said.
South Korea called on Pyongyang to stop shelling, which “threatens peace on the Korean Peninsula and increases tension.”
Recall that On January 5, the DPRK fired 200 shells towards South Korea. South Korea has ordered the evacuation of civilian shelters on the western border island of Yongpyeong.
