Pyongyang said that the missile flew 1002.3 km in 4415 seconds at a maximum altitude of 6518.2 km.

DPRK announced the successful testing of the Hwasong-18 solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile.

This is reported by Yonhap with reference to North Korean state media.

“The missile launch was carried out with the aim of “taking a powerful preventive measure in a serious situation in which the military threat from hostile forces against the DPRK… is becoming increasingly unconcealed and dangerous,” the DPRK said.

The news agency reports that the rocket flew 1002.3 km in 4415 seconds at a maximum altitude of 6518.2 km, after which it “precisely” fell into the East Sea.

Dictator Kim Kyung In stated that this was “a practical demonstration of the actual state and reliability of the formidable strike potential and absolute nuclear deterrence possessed by the DPRK armed forces.”

Recall that it was previously reported that North Korea launched one short-range ballistic missile towards the East Sea.

In addition, we previously informed that North Korea will place new weapons on the border with the South.
