NATO member states do not yet have a unified position on providing military assistance to Ukraine.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint briefing with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Thus, the Ukrainian leader commented on the information that two members of the Alliance – Germany and the Netherlands – blocked the possibility of supplying our state with weapons through NATO.

According to Zelensky, he discussed this issue in detail with Stoltenberg today.

– As you understand, there is no unified position on Ukraine's accession to NATO among 30 states (members of the Alliance & # 8212; Ed.), but most countries support us. And there is also no unified position among states on military assistance. Especially in such contracts (on the supply of weapons to Ukraine, – Ed.), Zelensky stressed.

At the same time, he assured that he feels Stoltenberg's full support in this matter.

– We are finding other steps to resolve these issues, – added the President of Ukraine.

At the same time, Stoltenberg did not directly comment on the information about the blocking of arms supplies. At the same time, he noted that the NATO Procurement Agency helps to purchase certain types of weapons and equipment for Ukraine (for example, anti-drone systems, military uniforms).

In addition, purchases are made under bilateral agreements with countries -Members of the Alliance.
