A ban on flights over the south of the Republic of Belarus was introduced on February 24, 2022.
The flight restriction zone in the south of Belarus was extended until April 2025: the threat of shelling of Ukraine remains.
The monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” reported this on Friday, December 27.
“The restriction zone for flights of all types of civil aircraft (and UAVs) at altitudes of up to 19,800 m in the south of the country has been extended from 00:00 on January 1 to 23:59 on March 31, 2025,” the report says.
Recall that the ban on flights over the south of the Republic of Belarus was introduced on February 24, 2022. It was from there that missiles were launched at Ukraine, and missiles and UAVs from the Russian Federation continue to fly there in transit. In total, since the beginning of the war, at least 721 missiles have been launched from the territory of Belarus at Ukrainian cities. Since July 2024 more than 350 “shahids” have entered Belarus.
