Spanish police detained nine Russians and two Bulgarians who were transporting hashish on sailboats. TASS reports.

It is noted that a total of 35 tons of the drug were seized. The September actions of law enforcement officers against the criminal group lasted five days. At the same time, large seizures of drugs in this case took place back in March 2020, and the investigation began in the fall of 2019. The operation became the largest in Spain to combat the trafficking of hashish by sea.

On September 12, it was reported that off the coast of the island of Palma in the Canary archipelago, Spanish security forces intercepted a ship filled with cocaine from Croatia. More than a ton of cocaine packaged in 980 packages was seized from the smugglers. Then three crew members were detained, all of them citizens of Croatia.
