In the center of the Belarusian capital, nine metro stations were closed on the eve of an unauthorized opposition rally. This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the Minsk metro.
It is noted that on November 8, in order to ensure the safety of passengers at the entrance and exit, all stations of the third metro line, Oktyabrskaya, Kupalovskaya, Ploshchad Pobedy, Nemiga, Frunzenskaya stations were closed.
“Trains run without stopping at these stations,” the metro said.
Also, at the Ploschad Lenina station, the lobby at the entrance from the Independence Square was closed, trains follow without stopping at this station.
As RIA Novosti reports, on November 8, protest actions are planned in a number of Belarusian cities, including Minsk. In the center of Minsk, security officials have strengthened security measures, pulling together special equipment, military equipment and vehicles for transporting personnel.
