Marco Rossi
The Minnesota Wild win their friendly against the St. Louis Blues 4-3. Austria's super talent Marco Rossi shows with an important assist.
A sense of achievement for Marco Rossi! The Austrian can continue to dream of being part of the Minnesota Wild squad at the start of the season, of playing his first year in the NHL.
On Thursday night, the 20-year-old with the Wild won his friendly against the Blues 4-3. The decision was only made in the extension.
Rossi shines on the winning goal with an assist. He first fights for the puck, then ideally puts it back on Russian Dmitry Kulikov, who prepares Adam Beckman for the shot to win.
It was Rossi's second use in the pre-season. He got a lot of ice time with 21:06 minutes and was allowed to participate in the special teams (outnumbered, outnumbered) – a real vote of confidence from coach Dean Evason. He now has to decide by next week whether he thinks Rossi is mature enough to keep him. Otherwise the Vorarlberger could be built up with the farm team in one season.
