The National Hockey League (NHL) New York Rangers will abandon American player Tony Deangelo for Russian goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev. Reported by The Athletic.

According to the source, Georgiev had a fight with Deangelo in the under-stands after the Rangers were defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins on January 31 (4-5 in overtime). After that, the Russian was not present at the team's training sessions. It is noted that because of this, the Rangers will put the 25-year-old American on draft waivers.
