Brazilian striker Paris Saint-Germain Neymar demanded to punish Spanish defender of Marseille Alvaro Gonzalez after their fight in the French championship match. He posted a post on his Instagram page.
Neymar agreed with the punishment for himself, but noted that he was waiting for sanctions against Gonzalez.
“This guy acted like a fool. I also acted stupidly, letting myself be drawn into this. At the same time, I still keep my head held high, ”the Brazilian emphasized and turned to his opponent. “We will meet again, and everything will be my way, like football. Go in peace! You know what you said. I know what I did. More love for this world, ”wrote Neymar.
The striker also responded to a racist insult, which, according to him, was uttered by the Marseille defender.
“I am black, son of black, grandson and great-grandson of black. I am proud of this and do not think that I am different from others. I wanted those in charge of order in the match to take an impartial position. There is no room for bias, ”he wrote. Neymar also noted that racism exists, but it must be stopped.
Earlier it was reported that Neymar faced the threat of punishment in the form of disqualification for the fight. The forward is facing a pass from four to seven matches.
The fight broke out after Alvaro Gonzalez racially insulted Neymar. The Brazilian hit his opponent on the head, which provoked a brawl with the participation of players from both teams. The Spaniard said he opposed racial harassment and did not admit to insulting the Brazilian striker.
PSG lost in the match against Marseille with a minimum score. The brawl involving the Brazilian forced the referee to remove five players from the field.
