New Zealand parliament halts work due to current quarantine
The Parliament of New Zealand decided to suspend work for one week due to the current quarantine in the country, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said, radio RNZ reports.
Earlier, the prime minister announced the extension of the restrictions until August 27 due to the spread of the delta coronavirus strain throughout the country.
Traveling around the country is risky now, Ardern said, and ministers will therefore continue to work online.
A week ago, the Iranian authorities, amid the fifth wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, announced a six-day lockdown, during which all institutions, offices and banks were ordered to stop working.
