In the near future, Xiaomi will release at least five smartphones for Russia. This was reported on the project's Twitter.

The authors of the account stated that the disclosed data from the MIUI firmware indicate that the Chinese company is preparing several smartphones for part of the markets. The Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Turkish, Taiwanese and Russian regions are mentioned. Under its own brand, Xiaomi will release a simplified version of the Mi 11 flagship released at the end of 2020, which will be called the Mi 11 Lite. The new device will come in two versions – with support for 4G and 5G.
The Xiaomi subsidiary Redmi, which unveiled the K40 series smartphones at the end of February, will not release them on the global market. However, devices with exactly the same characteristics will debut in several regions under the Poco brand. Thus, Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro + will appear in Russia under the names Poco X3, X3 Pro and X3 Pro +, respectively.
That being said, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite has not yet been presented. It will likely receive a 6.67-inch screen, a Snapdragon 732G chip, a triple camera, a capacious battery, Android 11 with MIUI 12 pre-installed.
The exact dates of the release of the devices on sale have not been disclosed. Xiaomi did not comment on the leakage of information about new devices in any way.
According to Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi and Samsung took leading positions in the smartphone market in Russia in the fourth quarter of 2020. Below in the top are Samsung and Apple. The leader in the online sales market was the M.Video-Eldorado group.
