The next major Windows 10 update is due out in June. This is reported by the Windows Latest edition.
Journalists found the described release dates for the new OS version on the Chromium project website. In a message from Microsoft, the operating system is expected to be released in June. According to the authors, the Windows 10 21H1 update will not receive major innovations and will be devoted to improving the quality of the system and fixing errors.
It is known that the disclosed update will receive a new API (Application Programming Interface) for developers. Also, Microsoft programmers intend to fix a dangerous vulnerability of the Kernel Transaction Manager (KTM). Work on Windows 10 21H1 will begin in February, with developers getting access to a beta version of the OS in May.
The journalists noted that the American corporation usually presents a major update to its operating system in late spring. For example, versions 1903 and 2004 of Windows 10 were released in the last week of May.
Earlier it became known that in the period from March to June, Microsoft will release Windows 10X – a special version of the OS for computers with poor performance. In the future, the company intends to introduce a special version of 10X for devices with two screens.
