In Windows 11, the system will remember the location of program windows on different monitors. This is reported by the Windows Latest edition.

According to journalists, users of Microsoft operating systems have repeatedly asked the company through the Feedback Hub service to add an optimization function when two or more monitors are connected to a computer. As experts have found out, in the new version of the OS it will be possible to arrange program windows in a certain sequence, which the system will remember. In this case, after turning off and then turning on the PC, the location of the windows on the monitors will be restored.

According to the disclosed data, the new option also implies fine-tuning of windows. By right-clicking on the “maximize window to full screen” switch, the user will be able to select exactly how this or that application will be positioned on the screen. In particular, it will be possible to put windows next to each other, split them horizontally, or display windows of four different programs on one screen.

“Enabling this feature can improve your efficiency when you want to manage windows when working with multiple programs,” noted the journalists.

Earlier, insiders said that support for third-party widgets will be added to the new operating system from Microsoft. Windows 11 is expected to be announced on June 24th.
