The new American drone was developed by two leading technology companies in the United States: IronNet and Astrion.
“Counter-drone technology has shown remarkable potential to combat drones in real-world combat situations and enhance battlefield intelligence. The Hitchhiker is a high-speed, electric-powered interceptor designed to take down enemy drones like Iran's Shahed,” Newsweek reports.

And it does so “more cost-effectively” than traditional defensive systems like the costly Patriot missiles.
The US has already called this drone a “game changer”.
In particular, cybersecurity investor Admiral Mike Gewitt said that the US shared such technologies “with various leaders in Ukraine who are on advanced”.
“And I will tell you that the feedback we have received is how quickly you can get these capabilities here? And this is from people who are really working on the front lines at a very high level. So we took this with great confidence that this could be a game changer in Ukraine.
Recall that Ukrainian experts have noted that the Russian Federation has achieved a significant increase in drone production. It continues to scale it up to terrorize, in particular, the capital of Ukraine.
