LaCie, Seagate Technology's premium brand, has unveiled new portable drives: LaCie Mobile SSD Secure1 and LaCie Portable SSD. Their main feature is incredibly high speed up to 1 Gb / s for both writing and reading. However, in order to achieve such speeds, you need a device with USB 3.2 Gen 2.
Both drives, of course, support this USB-C release. They can be connected both to smartphones and tablets (cable included) and to laptops and PCs via USB-A 3.0. New items work with devices on Windows, Mac, iOS without any additional configuration. … The LaCie Mobile SSD Secure differs from the LaCie Portable SSD in the presence of a hardware security mechanism and a lock / unlock feature in the LaCie Toolkit software.
The drives are made in a laconic design and have a shock-resistant case. The LaCie Toolkit makes backups easy. LaCie Portable SSD is already on sale: the manufacturer's recommended retail price is 10 840 rubles for the 500 GB model, 17 870 rubles for the 1 TB version and 34 120 rubles for the 2 TB model. The LaCie Mobile SSD Secure warranty is not for sale yet.
