American scientists have discovered a new dangerous consequence of the coronavirus, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are talking about an acute inflammatory syndrome in adults, which was previously found in children and associated with COVID-19.
Those who have recovered, as noted, may manifest MIS-A syndrome, which is a severe complication of coronavirus in children and adolescents. Patients with this syndrome have had heart and gastrointestinal problems. People began to complain of arrhythmias, abdominal pain and fever.
Already 16 such cases have been recorded.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 34 million people have been infected with the coronavirus, more than a million have died. In Russia, there were almost 1.2 million cases of infection. The most susceptible to infections are the United States, India and Brazil.
