The Netflix streaming platform has stopped working in Russia since Friday, May 27.
Earlier it became known that residents of Russia cannot open the site < strong>platforms and app without using a VPN.
A company spokesman told AFP in a comment.
The Netflix website and app have been down since Friday, and a Netflix spokesperson has now confirmed that subscribers are no longer able to access the content.
“This is the completion of the exit from the Russian market announced in March,” Netflix said.
It is noted that the company waited for the end of the current billing cycle to disconnect customers.
Recall that Netflix suspended work in Russia on March 6th. At the same time, Russian users could continue to watch dubbed and subtitled content. But registration of new accounts and replenishment of accounts became unavailable. This can only be done using a VPN.
