“11 days of powerful strikes against the radicals of the Gaza Strip changed the balance of power and the rules of the game. Terrorists have nowhere else to hide, ”he said.
Earlier it became known that since the aggravation of the conflict in Israel, about 4070 missiles were fired from the Gaza Strip, 610 of them fell inside the enclave. At the same time, the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted about 90% of the shells.
We will remind, the escalation in the region began on the evening of May 10 after an attempt to evict several Arab families from Sheikh Jarrah. There were clashes between the Palestinians and the Israeli police, and then military action between the Hamas movement and the Jewish state.
On the eve of the Israeli government made a unilateral decision to stop strikes on the Gaza Strip, in turn, the Palestinian Islamist movement has assured that it will observe the ceasefire if the Israeli side adheres to it.
On Friday, May 21, at 2:00 local time (the same as Moscow time), the ceasefire between the warring parties came into force.
