Advisor to the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak said this during the telethon.
We are on the threshold of a new era
One can cautiously assume, says Podolyak, that today we are witnessing the beginning of the so-called “era of detente.” It can be gradually formed in the relations between the United States and China.
“They (the Americans and the Chinese – ed.) will begin this dialogue at different platforms, both at the level of heads of state and at other levels. And this will significantly influence how we will see the world as a whole,” the adviser explained head of the Office of the President.
This fact, he emphasizes, greatly irritates the Russian Federation. However, this is quite expected.
“Russia understands, firstly, that they are not global players who ignore them. They absolutely do not need such effective and multi-layered communication between China and the United States. Russia used to play a certain role before the start of a full-scale invasion, advocating China’s positions somewhere. Today Russia was removed from everywhere,” notes Mikhail Podolyak.
These are signs of the beginning of a different era in relationships, says Podolyak, which is a very important signal. But the main positive is that it will symbolize the opportunity to work through accumulated problems and develop other rules of global behavior. The Russian Federation cannot do this.
“That’s why Russia starts wars of various types: hybrid, propaganda, and certainly hot wars. And that’s why Russia needs to be removed, and it seems to me that they can talk about it now. Russia is destructive not only for Ukraine, and not only for Europe, but it is generally destructive for the global political space,” the official noted.
And this affects interests, in particular. The fact is that they are much more extensive and long-term, the OP adviser notes, than the primitive interests of the Russian Federation.
It was previously said that the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States is strategically important and could have consequences for the world, including Ukraine.
