It is also reported that the invaders broke through the Ukrainian border and tried to come from the rear to strike and break the line of defense of the Ukrainian troops. But in the end, the enemy suffered losses and retreated.
On the approach to Chernihiv, the Ukrainian armed forces successfully repulsed the breakthrough of the Russian invaders. This was announced on Facebook by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Valery Zaluzhny.
According to him, the Ukrainian military managed to keep the defense in the Chernigov direction and directly on the approach to Chernigov.
