In the center of Belaya Tserkov, a local resident found an unknown man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. In connection with the incident, the police put the suspect Yevgeny Valeriyevich Khomenko on the wanted list.
As specified, this happened on Yaroslav the Wise Street on January 7, at about 2 am.
– The 50-year-old victim was resting in one of the city's entertainment venues. Subsequently, he and a new acquaintance, with whom they drank alcoholic beverages together, had a conflict, the department said.
After a quarrel, the man took out a machine gun from the trunk of his car and fired one shot upwards.
Then he followed his acquaintance and shot him twice. The shooter fled the scene after the incident.
– The man was immediately hospitalized in a medical facility with a gunshot wound to the lower back. The victim is currently in a stable condition, police added.

According to investigators, according to the procedural leadership of the Bila Tserkva district prosecutor's office, Khomenko was informed of suspicion of attempted crime (part 2 of article 15) called premeditated murder (paragraph 7 of part 2 of article 115) of the Criminal Code.
The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.
