As you know, on the eve of February 24, during the day there were battles for Gostomel. The city was attacked by Russian helicopters with troops.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to repel an attempt by Russian invaders to seize the Gostomel airfield. We are talking about the airport of the state enterprise Antonov, located near the city.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 60 battalion tactical groups of Russian troops were introduced into the territory of Ukraine. The main goal of the invaders is to block Kiev and create a land corridor to the occupied Crimea.
