NATO troops in Ukraine: Ukrainian Armed Forces colonel answers when Western fighters might appear in the country

What is NATO's response to Russia's involvement of the DPRK military.

Allied states are unlikely to send their personnel to Ukraine until the end of a full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.

About this on the air “24 Channel” said the General Staff spokesman, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev.

He noted that if the process is deliberately delayed, then a positive decision on this issue should not be expected.

After all, Ukraine has experience of such “cooperation”. Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, military personnel from Canada, Great Britain, Poland, etc. came to Ukraine as part of training missions.

According to Seleznev, fighters from Western countries took part in advisory and other missions that allowed monitoring or ensuring the training of Ukrainian military personnel. However, they are unlikely to return to Ukraine during the Great War with the Russian Federation.

“I doubt that this will happen until the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian confrontation ends. Yes, there were many discussions about the possibility of using military personnel from countries that are part of the North Atlantic Alliance in secondary areas of the front. So that we could free up our forces and resources from these areas of the front and send them to where they are most needed. But this did not happen then and is unlikely to happen in the future,” the colonel said.

He also called the allies “too cautious” and the discussions and decision-making too slow. So if the process is deliberately delayed, the expert believes, then there is no point in hoping for a positive solution to this issue.

Recall that the dictator of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, denied the presence of troops from DPRK in the war against Ukraine. At the same time, China spoke out for the first time about North Korean troops in Russia.
