Today, June 24, the two-day NATO summit officially opened in The Hague (Netherlands). Heads of state and government of the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance arrived to participate in the event to discuss key challenges to global security.

Journalists in The Hague reported that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has already arrived at the summit.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also joined the event. During a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the head of state called for increased investment in drone production to strengthen Ukraine.

There are a large number of media outlets working at the scene of the incident, and representatives of the press are transported around the area by special transport. The media center is located in a parking lot, which is also a bomb shelter. The area where the NATO summit is taking place is guarded by police and military personnel.
Earlier in an interview with Sky News, Zelensky said he planned to meet with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit. He said both leaders' teams were currently working on organizing the meeting.
Volodymyr Zelensky will also meet today in The Hague with European Council President António Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
