NATO defense ministers said Russia's recognition of the DPR and LPR would violate Ukraine's sovereignty

NATO defense ministers believe that if Russia recognizes the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), this will violate the sovereignty of Ukraine. This statement was made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, RIA Novosti quotes.
The proposal of the State Duma to recognize the DPR and LPR was received on the afternoon of February 15: during the rating voting, the deputies decided to immediately apply to the President of Russia with a corresponding request. According to parliamentarians, there are about 800,000 Russian citizens in the Donbass, and Russia is “obliged under the Constitution” to provide them with assistance.
