NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke out in support of Ukraine's invitation to the NATO summit, but urged to decide on its format.
So, Stoltenberg in an interview with La Vanguardia stressed that Spain, in his opinion, is an ideal place for the summit.
– Yes, I think it's a good platform for meeting partners, but I think we need to decide on the exact format. I am looking forward to the summit… It shows that NATO is a transatlantic alliance. If there is anything we should learn from this crisis, it is that Europeans and Americans should stick together,” Jens Stoltenberg concluded.
Recall that Polish President Andrzej Duda proposed to invite Ukraine to a meeting before the NATO summer summit in Madrid.
The NATO summit in Madrid is scheduled for June 29-30.
