A compromise between Russia and NATO on Ukraine's right to “choose its own path” and claim to join the alliance is impossible. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, reports TASS.

According to him, all NATO member states continue to adhere to a single position on this issue. He also conveyed that the alliance remains convinced of the Russian armed forces allegedly maintaining their presence on the border with Ukraine, despite the alliance's calls for de-escalation.
