Stoltenberg said that Russia may try to overthrow the government in Kiev

Russia can use different methods to carry out aggression against Ukraine, in addition to a direct military invasion. This statement was made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, TASS reports.
“There is a risk of an all-out invasion, but there is also a risk of other types of aggressive actions, including attempts to overthrow the government in Kiev, hybrid and information attacks, and many other types of aggression from Russia,” the Secretary General of the North Atlantic alliance.
Earlier, he said that at the moment the risk of starting a war in Europe because of the situation around Ukraine is real. He also confirmed his intention to strengthen the presence of NATO forces in the eastern direction against the backdrop of rising tensions. According to him, NATO defense ministers will discuss strengthening in the East next week.
In addition, it became known that the NATO leadership agreed to the deployment of troops in two countries of the Black Sea region – Romania and Bulgaria, as well as in Slovakia. It is noted that the main part of the contingent that will be deployed in these countries will be the military from the United States and France.
