NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg congratulated Democrat Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential elections in the United States and called on to resist numerous threats, including from Russia. His statement was published on the alliance website.
“I welcome the election of Joe Biden as President of the United States. I know him as a strong supporter of NATO and transatlantic ties, ”he wrote.
“We need this collective power to confront the many challenges we face, including a more assertive Russia, international terrorism, cyber and missile threats, and a shift in the global balance of power due to the rise of China,” Stoltenberg said in a congratulatory message.
